Week 86 - Baptisms!

Hola!

Alejandra, Paulina, and Alondra were baptized and confirmed this week! It was awesome, the Spirit was very strong and it filled me with motivation and peace. I got to baptize Alejandra and Paulina and my comp baptized Alondrita.

It was a great week in that aspect, but in others it was a very emotionally challenging one. My comp is having an emotional breakdown, and it isn't like he just doesn't get along with me, it's that he can be perfectly fine in one second and in the next threatening to punch me. President told me that it isn't my problem it is his, that was a relief because I really have been trying to help him. And it's not just me either, it has happened with members and with our district leader. The good thing is is that I am learning a lot from this experience. I know that we all have weaknesses and such, and I am learning a lot of humility and patience. Only two more weeks!

I attached a picture of Karen, the little girl I baptized a month ago. The computer isn't working so I can't upload pictures from my camera, so I'll have to send the photos of the Bravo Family next week.

But other than that, all is well here in Irapuato. I love this ward and this work! Hope y'all have a great week!

Love,
Elder Rasmussen

Week 85 - Irapuatooo

Hi!

This was a fun week. We found lots of really cool people. I think we also found a future bishop. This guy, Abraham, has a lot of potential. I am excited to see how he progresses.

We also killed a snake, it was in an investigator's house, it was like a meter long. All is well here in Arboledas, I really like the ward members. I am for sure going to miss a lot of them. I am excited for Alejandra's baptism. Pray for them. Satan is trying super hard to keep them from getting baptized. But they are strong and trust in the Lord.

Thanks for the emails! Hope you all have a great week!
Love,
Elder Rasmussen

Week 84 - ¡Feliz día de la madre!

Happy Mother's Day (a week late)!

Last week I couldn't write because the power went out as soon as I sent my first email, which happened to be to my beloved mother. FYI, my knees are better! I bought a knee brace to help but it makes my knee sweatier than a fat kid in a sauna.

All is well, I can't believe how fast time flies.

Love,
Elder Rasmussen

Week 83 - Irekua

Hello!

This was a pretty tough week. Lots of our investigators aren't progressing. We are looking for new ones, but we aren't finding anyone with a lot of desires of changing.

Today we went to a park, Irekua. We rode bikes and played mafia. It was a fun district activity.

Everything is going well. Not great, but not bad. Alejandra and her family are still trying to make the decision to get baptized. They want to do so, but her husband is holding her back. Pray for them!

Hope y'all have a great week!
Love,
Elder Rasmussen

P.S. Oh and nobody celebrates 5 de Mayo here.
