Week 73 - Finding like crazy

This week we have found the most new investigators than any other week in my mission. We really have been guided by the Spirit and been helped by the ward members to find these people prepared by the Lord. I know that these and many other people are being prepared to accept the Gospel, even though they don't know it. My testimony of the Book of Mormon has really grown this week. I feel like I can relate to each of the people in the Book of Mormon in some way, and I can learn something from all of them.

It has been cool to see that the harder we work the more success we have, interesting huh? Haha and I know that the Lord rewards our diligence. I really like this scripture, I can really relate to it. Alma 26:27.

All is well and everything calm here in Irapuato. Hope you all have a great week!

Elder Rasmussen

Week 72 - Nothing new in Irapuato

This was a pretty normal week. The work is advancing somewhat, it has been a long week of walking and appointments falling through, I guess that is how the past 17 months have been haha

But the good news is that I have been reading a lot in the Book of Mormon. I have learned quite a bit. Read the Book of Mormon! I have been reading in Alma this week. I really have learned a lot from the examples of Alma, Alma the younger, Ammon and his brothers, Amulek, and also Moroni, Lehi, Teancum, Helaman, and Helaman Jr.

All is well and nothing new here in Irapuato. Hope y'all have a great week!

Week 71 - Francisco and GTO! Oh and Happy Valentine's Day!

This week was awesome! A member named David, an RM, called us one morning and told us to come to his work. We showed up and his boss Francisco was having some serious problems. We started teaching him and he said he felt a lot of love and peace. He also accepted a baptismal date. He also came to church and really liked it! He is golden! It goes to show that the Lord is preparing many souls to receive the gospel, we just need to find them.

Today we also went to Guanajuato. It is a cool town, super hot and lots of hills. But it's chill.

Irapuato is dope. Ugly too and dangerous but I like it. The Gospel is true. Read the Book of Mormon everyday. It works wonders. Hope y'all have a great week and a Happy Valentine's Day!

Love,
Elder Rasmussen

Week 70 - Arboledas, Irapuato

Wow. Irapuato.

This has been a pretty interesting week. It is hard to get used to a new area, but the members here are pretty cool. I am starting to learn the area pretty well. My comp is a good guy, Elder Medrano. We are working really well together. I have learned quite a bit in this first week here.

Oh yeah. We walked a ton this week. Apparently here it is faster to walk than take the busses. Every night I would get home to the house and just fall asleep. But we also found quite a few really prepared people. I am excited for this area. I know that the Lord has prepared people to here this message. We just need to find them.

All is well here in Irapuato. Hope y'all have a great week! Love you all!
